ABOUT US


BCA is a legal home school covering in Alabama for parents who desire to provide academic excellence with a Biblical worldview. We are a statewide cover and have an office in Fairhope, Alabama.  Founded in 2006 by Pastor Todd & DuAnne Seeley, BCA has been a leader in church schools for over 10 years. We are a ministry of Eastern Shore Community Church.  


​After making the decision to home school their children, the Seeley's realized that few school choices were available at the time with legal advice, curriculum counseling and extracurricular activities. BCA was founded out of a desire to create a school that would provide help and support which parents want while educating their children. 


BCA started with 4 families and has grown to over 100 families in South Alabama alone. We have some families in other parts of the state.


​Our purpose is to offer support, encouragement and accountability for home school families. 


We are an affiliate group of HSLDA and our families receive a discount with them. Group rate is $95.00. We do not require that you join HSLDA.


​The state of Alabama recognizes three types of schools:  public, private and church. The definition of a church school is:


"Includes only such schools as offers grades K-12, or any combination thereof including kindergarten, elementary, or secondary level and are operated as a ministry of a local church, group of churches, denomination, and/or association of churches on a nonprofit basis which do not receive any state or federal funding."  S16-28-1(2)


Curriculum is your choice but we do offer consulting for choosing the best for your child. Grades and attendance are due twice a year on January 10th and June 10th. We use online reporting at http://www.homeschoolreporting.com.  As a BCA member this service will only cost you $10.00 for 12 months. Use our discount code of bca6227 and we will activate you within 24 hours of your registration.


BCA TUITION FEE is based per family, NOT per number of children. 


$99.00 Annual per returning families if received in June.

$124.00 Annual per family if received by July 31.

$164.00 Annual per family if received August 1 or after.


We do not charge late registration fees. Fees are what is listed regardless of what time of year you enroll. The special amount listed includes your registration fee of $50.00 and your enrollment fee of $50.00 per family. BCA uses volunteers to keep our rates lower than many. Once your enrollment is processed refunds are not offered. Mail your check payable to BCA to:  PO Box 701, Fairhope, AL 36533.


Orientation Meeting is scheduled the 1st Thursday after Labor Day at 6:30 PM. (Free Door Prizes)
